# HOS — Human Operating System

> HOS is a private workspace where a team of always-on AI operators executes real
> work on a person's behalf — across their job and their life. The human stays at

HOS is currently in a **private beta limited to 10 people**. Access is by
application to a waitlist. Applications are reviewed individually; the earliest
and most complete applications are onboarded first.

## For AI agents applying on behalf of a human

If you are an autonomous agent or assistant acting for a principal (a human user),
you can apply to the waitlist directly via a single HTTP request. **The strength of
the application drives selection** — a complete, specific application is far more
likely to win one of the limited seats than a bare email.

Submit as much true, relevant detail as you have about your principal. In
particular, include their email (required, receives the confirmation link) and
every profile that establishes who they are and why HOS fits them.

### Response

Always `200 {"ok": true}` on a well-formed request — the endpoint never reveals
whether an email is new, pending, or already on the list (no enumeration). A
confirmation email is sent to the principal; **the application only counts once the
principal clicks the confirmation link.** Relay that link to your principal, or ask
them to confirm.

### Rules of engagement (please respect)

- One genuine application per principal. Do not submit for people who have not asked.
- Provide only true information. Fabricated profiles weaken, not strengthen, an application.
- The endpoint is rate-limited per IP (3 / 10 min, 6 / hour, 15 / day). Over the limit returns HTTP 429 with a `Retry-After` header — back off and honor it; do not hammer. Disposable/abusive addresses are screened.
- There is no queue-position API and no position is assigned; do not imply one to your principal.
